 Rain Dance

In North America and Mexico, the native people
used to dance to invoke the rain in order to have
a good harvest.TThe Cherokee, a tribe from the southeastern United States, performed this kind of dance to provoke rain and to cleanse the land of evil spirits. The legend holds that the rain provoked by the ritual contains the spirits of former tribal chiefs who, when they fall, face the evil spirits at the intermediate level between reality and the spiritual world.
